The First Aid Unit (based at Chipping Norton Health Centre) is changing how it operates. This is so it can become integrated into the wider Out of Hours health services of Oxfordshire and it will allow the team to provide care for more people.

How will the First Aid Unit service be available to me?

The First Aid Unit is not a walk-in service. You must have an pre booked appointment to be able to attend for treatment.

You may be advised by the care navigators at Chipping Norton Health Centre to call 111. This could be because at the point when they receive your call they assess that your need for care could be managed successfully on the same day within a first aid unit setting more appropriately than by the Health Centre clinicians.

You can contact NHS 111 if you have an urgent health concern. Your condition will be assessed and you will be directed to the most appropriate service. This may be a same day appointment at the Chipping Norton First Aid Unit.
