Job Description

Job Title: Medical receptionist/Care navigator

Reports to: Care Navigation Team Manager

Job summary

Main duties include

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to signpost patients to access appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously, efficiently and effectively.
  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the Health Centre.
  • Supporting the wider health centre team, including clinicians and admin staff to ensure first class service.
  • Communicating with health care professionals, patients and non-clinical colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the health centre.

Experience: Previous experience within a front facing service is essential. Previous experience within a health care based service is desirable. Experience of working within a fast paced, changeable environment would be beneficial.

Skills: Excellent customer service skills are essential. Excellent telephony skills are essential. Basic computer skills are desirable, however full training will be given on the health centres IT systems.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.08 per hour
