Bumblebee Border

Our Bumblebee border is a beautiful sight in the summer, Craig Blackwell, who designed the border, has been sharing how to design similar in your own gardens with some Chippy residents…

‘As part of a Wychwood Project event on Saturday 4th August a number of people visited the Bumblebee Border at the Health Centre.
The group started at Applegarth Garden Centre in Chippy to hear Richard Hopkins talk about the range of plants that are attractive to bumblebees and other pollinators.
We then walked through to the Health Centre to view the border and identify various species of bumblebees feeding on the plants in flower.
The aim is to encourage people visiting the Health Centre to attract bees into their own gardens by replicating what they see in the Bumblebee Border.’
